Michelle Virirakis often takes time to let the Universe lead her to the next step in her life, career and even in connection with others. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Frostburg State University which led her to become an Art Director in an advertising agency. While employed in art, she volunteered her time, assisting seniors through the Friend Advocate Program through Jewish Family Services in New Jersey. Through this experience she was lead to pursue her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Kean University. A career as an Occupational Therapist has given Michelle the path to many opportunities such as offering art as occupation and expression to residents of mental health and senior daycare facilities; providing services in rehabilitation for adults both to short and long term residents; empowering children of all ages to succeed in the school environment; and teaching at Seton Hall University. Overcoming the struggle with chronic pain as well as the heart and mind of an empath has lead Michelle to explore and study the healing arts including mindfulness, sensory processing, crystal healing, meditation, aromatherapy, Reiki, EFT tapping, and most recently, combining all of her skills, to develop mindfulness and meditation practices through watercolor painting and jewelry making.
